Italian sports prose leans on exuberant metaphors and transfer-rumor hedging ("assalto," "colpo," "clamoroso," "destinato a…," "secondo…," "si dice…"). The first pass over-penalized this as loaded language and outcome projection. We tightened it by:
downgrading hedged forecasts via the new softUncertainty rule (e.g., "likely/unlikely," Italian equivalents),
adding attribution guards for Italian cues ("secondo," "stando a," "si dice," "fonti"),
treating hypey match reports/"pagelle" as style → flags, not effects, and
keeping red cards only for hard claims with no sourcing (e.g., "scudetto già vinto," "addio certo a giugno") or apples-to-oranges with absolute probability.
Net: fewer reds, better tolerance for sports-page voice, while still catching unsourced certainties and forced equivalences.
